Psycho-Spiritual Well-Being in Times of Crisis

Rayburn College Counselling Centre organized a seminar and Joint Prayer Fellowship for Go Grace Mission and Zomi Students’ Federation, Lamka on November 29, 2023, at 2:30 pm in the college conference hall under the Social Service Programme with the theme of “Psycho-Spiritual well-being in time of crisis”. The seminar aims to educate on the importance of Psycho-spiritual well-being in times of Crisis.

Mr. N. Thangkhansiam, Evangelist of Go Grace Mission, shared the word of God and also set the mood for today’s theme, namely “Psycho-spiritual Well-being in Times of Crisis” He explained that today’s programme aimed to equip participants with knowledge, tools and practices to improve their mental, emotional and spiritual well-being during difficult times. He explained, “People who used more positive religious coping methods had better outcomes than those who argued with God, their faith or other people about sacred matters,” he said.

This was followed by a special song by the Zomi Students’ Federation. They sang a Christmas song. Following that, Mr. Nengzalian Tonsing, President of the Zomi Students’ Federation, gave a short speech, which was followed by a special song performed by Miss Roslyn Kimbuang. Miss Rose Ngaihte, ZSF/ZCSC Spokesperson, proceeded to give an impromptu short-speech. Mr. S. Nengvanglian, Vice Chairman, Go Grace Mission, moved a vote of gratitude, and Elder T. Pauchinzam, Secretary, Go Grace Mission, Lamka, followed with a grace and thanksgiving prayer.

The event was officially closed with a lavish dinner for all program participants.
