The Information Technology (IT) Center in the college is well-equipped with computing resources to cater to the academic needs of the students. The center is a constant hub of activities, providing a conducive learning environment.

It ensures that our students have a deep and analytical understanding of the field and to enable them to use their immense potential to enhance the quality of human life by contributing to the field of technology, preparing them for their Career in the Industry, and to the needs of the society with ethical responsibilities.

LABS

IT in-charge or lab assistance can be reached at the given contact information. You can also stop by in-person during normal business hours. 

We offer wireless Internet access to all staffs and faculties at Rayburn College.

SECURE WIRELESS ACCESS

Institutionally-owned computers are automatically configured to connect to our secure wireless network. 

If you encounter problems with your Internet access within the campus, call the IT In-charge at the given contact information. 

OTHER SERVICES

When changing offices, please contact IT in-charge few days in advance, if possible, so that our department has enough time to prepare in IT related equipment set up. This will help ensure that there are no interruptions in your wifi connectivity and internet access.

The following rules are put into place to ensure availability and maintain a positive user experience in the computer Labs.

  • Each person may only use one computer at a time.

  • Computers and peripherals are not to be moved or reconfigured without approval of IT in-charge.

  • Students may not install software on lab computers. If you have a question regarding specific software that you need to use, contact the IT in-charge.

  • The use of tobacco products is not allowed in computer lab.

  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the computer lab.

  • Do not display or print sexually explicit graphics.

  • Behavior and activities that disturb other users or disrupt the operations of the lab are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: physical activities such as “rough-housing,” loud music, etc.

  • Remember to turn off the computer whenever you are done using it. IT department cannot be held responsible for the protection of your data or account when you leave a computer logged in with your account.

  • Violation of any of the above rules may result in disciplinary action and the loss of lab privileges.
