Rayburn College participated in the capacity of a Local Partner at The Lamka Youth Summit 2025, which was jointly organised by the North Eastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC), NEST Lamka, and supported by the North Eastern Council (NEC). The summit, which took place on the 8th of November 2025 at the Gospel Centenary Hall, Lamka brought together hundreds of young voices, artisans, and changemakers in Lamka, Churachandpur, Manipur.
The summit was inaugurated by Rev. Chinkhengoupau Buansing, Youth Coordinator of the Evangelical Baptist Convention, followed by a hybrid inaugural session featuring Vumlunmang Vualnam, IAS, Secretary in the Ministry of Finance; Pausianmuang Tunglut, IES, Joint Director at the Ministry of DoNER; and Mara Kocho, Managing Director of NEHHDC. Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar, IAS, served as the functional president and addressed participants on “Handcrafting Sustainable Development through Peace.”
Under the theme “Handcrafting Our Future – Towards Sustainable Development,” the summit served as a platform where creativity met purpose — celebrating local craftsmanship, innovation, and youth-led entrepreneurship for a sustainable tomorrow.
