On March 3rd, 2025, in observance of World Wildlife Day, the Department of Zoology, organized a field trip to the Lanva River (Intake Point) with 47 participants. The trip was conducted under the theme “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet” and aimed to provide students with firsthand experience in observing biodiversity, natural habitats, and the impact of human activities on wildlife conservation.
During the trip, students studied various species of flora and fauna, analyzing their role in the ecosystem. They also assessed the effects of deforestation, pollution, and habitat destruction on wildlife. The trip highlighted the importance of conservation efforts and sustainable practices to protect biodiversity.
