Rayburn Faculty Commissioned as Flying Officer
It is a proud moment for Rayburn College to announce that Smt Emmanuel Lalneimawi Hmar, Assistant Professor and Head of Economics Department, has been commissioned with the rank of Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force NCC. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone not only for her personally but also for the institution as a whole.
Her journey stands as a powerful example of sheer resolve, strength, dedication, and sacrifice. Notably, she is recognised as the first tribal woman from Manipur to achieve this distinguished honour.
Flying Officer Emmanuel Lalneimawi Hmar successfully completed the Pre-Commission Training (PRCN) with an ‘A’ Grade, undergoing rigorous training in two phases. Part I was conducted at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gwalior, from 6th October to 26th October 2025 (21 days), followed by Part II at the Air Force Station (AFS), Tambaram, from 27th October to 27th December 2025 (62 days).
Commissioned as Flying Officer Emmanuel Lalneimawi Hmar, ANO, 1 Manipur, Air Squadron will now mentor, guide, and inspire the Air Wing NCC cadets of Rayburn College, motivating them to pursue careers in the Indian Armed Forces and serve the nation with pride and honour.
