The Department of Geography, Rayburn College (Autonomous), conducted a field survey on 10 October 2026 for B.A. 5th Semester students along the Tuitha River, from Saipum Bridge to Sehken Village. The survey focused on observing fluvial erosional and depositional processes and their associated landforms. Students observed meanders, point bars, oxbow lakes, riverbank erosion (bank cuts), natural levees etc. These features provided practical insights into river channel dynamics, erosion, and sediment deposition. The field survey enhanced students’ understanding of fluvial geomorphology by connecting theoretical knowledge with field observations.
