A field study was conducted along the Tuitha River near T. Khajang, Singngat Sub-Division by M.A. 4th Semester, Department of Geography, Rayburn College (Autonomous) on 11th April, 2026 to examine its depositional and erosional features. The river exhibits clear meandering, with active bank cutting along the outer bends indicating strong lateral erosion, while inner bends show deposition in the form of point bars. A natural levee was observed along the river banks, formed due to periodic flooding. At the confluence, a gravel bar deposit was identified, indicating a reduction in flow velocity and sorting of coarse sediments. Cross-sectional measurements of the river channel were carried out using a measuring tape to analyze variations in width and depth. Overall, the study highlights the dynamic fluvial processes shaping the Tuitha River system.
