Field Study at ADCC dumping site by B.A. 4th Semester, Department of Geography

A field study was conducted at the ADCC dumping site by B.A. 4th Semester, Department of Geography, Rayburn College (Autonomous) on 7th April, 2026 to examine the environmental conditions and impacts of waste disposal. The site showed moderate accumulation of mixed solid waste, including plastics and organic materials, indicating partial waste management practices. Limited leachate formation was observed, suggesting a moderate risk to soil and nearby water sources. The area had a mild odour and some presence of insects, but the overall impact was not very severe. Some level of waste handling and control measures appeared to be in place. Overall, the study indicates a moderate environmental impact and highlights the need for improved waste segregation and management practices to maintain the condition of the site.
