Three-Day Aero Modelling Training Programme

The No. 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC, Rayburn College (Autonomous), conducted a three-day Aero Modelling Training Programme from 22nd to 24th October, 2025. The training aimed to provide cadets with practical exposure and technical knowledge in the field of aero modelling which is an important component of Air Wing NCC activities.

Since there is no aero-modelling instructor available in Imphal, the instructors were invited from Guwahati to conduct the sessions. The training was led by Mr. Puspendra Borkataki and Corporal Santanu, experienced NCC instructors in the field of aero modelling.

During the three-day programme, cadets were introduced to the three main types of aero models, Static Model, Control Line Model, and Remote Control Model. The instructors provided demonstrations and hands-on practice, enabling cadets to operate and control models using remote-control systems.

The training proved to be highly informative and engaging. It helped cadets understand the principles of flight, aerodynamics, and model aircraft construction. The event concluded successfully with active participation from all cadets, enhancing their technical skills, discipline, and enthusiasm for aviation and aeromodelling.
