In observation of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Day on September 24, 2025, Rayburn College NSS Units organized a one-day national awareness campaign on blood donation in collaboration with the Blood Bank, District Hospital. The program aimed to create awareness about the importance of blood donation among students.
Ma’am Mercy Chingnunhoih, the Academic Dean and former Programme Officer of NSS at Rayburn College, delivered an informative presentation about the critical importance of donating blood, covering the vital role of blood donation in saving lives and community responsibility. Mr. Velthangkhum Hauzel, a regular blood donor, shared his valuable experiences as a consistent donor, providing practical insights and encouraging students to participate in this noble cause.
The awareness campaign witnessed excellent participation with 84 students attending the program. The impact was evident as 35 students signed the pledge to donate blood, representing over 40% of the total attendees.
